Bittersweet Valentine

Today is Valentine's Day. I didn't really know how to spend today. For those of you close to me, you know that my mom passed away last year on Valentine's Day. It's hard to believe it's been a year, because in many ways it still feels fresh. I love her and miss her a lot. Of course I still think of her every day, not just today. Tomorrow Todd, Dad, and I are going to Rose Hills to visit her and bring her some flowers. Saying "visiting" her is kinda weird, since as a Christian I believe that she's gone to heaven, so it's just her earthly shell at the memorial park. Of course it's still very special to go visit her earthly resting place and commenmorate our love for her, and how much she meant and still means to us. I'm really blessed to have such a great family and a super-awesome supportive husband. I know I'm blessed and it brings joy to my heart every day, not just Valentine's Day. :) On a separate note, Lisa Habisreutinger announced her creative team (of which I am honored to be a part of) on her blog today.
