Orange you glad you stopped by?

Photo today: Photobucket I've been eating at least two oranges a day from my dad's friend from Bakersfield. They're so sweet & juicy. I'll be sad when I run out of them. Today one of the remodelers that we're considering came to give us ideas and a rough estimate. His company got a bunch of great reviews on Angie's List, plus they came highly recommended by someone at my work. He came and consulted with us, then took measurements so that he can go back and do a detailed kitchen and bath design in his software and present it to us next week, along with the PRICE TAG. The scary price tag. Dinner tonight was Citrus-Glazed Chicken: Photobucket It was a new recipe and we thought it was pretty good. Not great, but pretty good. You have to marinate the chicken a few hours ahead of time though, so it's not a last minute dish.

  1. Oh my, those oranges looks yummy!! Great picture, it is almost as I could grab one of them..
Hope you get a nice design and price tag when he comes back. So exciting to be remodeling. :)

  2. I would love to be remodelling, I will keep my fingers crossed that he is not too expensive. I love the photo, the colours are beautiful.

  3. I love oranges!! Beautiful photo! I do have to be careful though, because they can cause kidney stones to dislodge, that is if I have any. I've only had them once, and they figure it was because I was drinking too much orange juice on a vacation. It is better if I just eat the orange...I don't get as much! I bought some valenica ones yesterday! So sweet and juicy!

I'm glad you gave your opinion on the recipe. It sounded good and I thought about making it tonight, but now I think I'll look for something else. I won't have time to marinate it.

  4. I miss the oranges my grandma used to send for Christmas. I think I'm the only one in the family though...these days she gives money. Great color in your picture Christine. It's bold and I like it.

  5. I think you have the same plates as my sister. Are they Pfaltzgraff?
