Frozen TV Dinner
So, as you know, we're in the midst of our kitchen and bath remodel. So tonight, I present Creamy Chicken & Shrimp Parmesan, and Butter Chicken with Basmati Rice (Indian style):
We don't have to eat out every night after all! Perhaps the small portions will allow me to lose some fat??? Maybe? Or maybe it'll just cause me to inhale a handful of Cheez-Its after dinner? Hmmm...
We came home from work to find that they framed our new shower and window in the master bath! Very exciting! Here's the progression.
Before remodeling:
After demolition:
After framing of window and shower:
As you can see, we're turning the area that used to be our shower and bathtub, into a large walk in shower. You'd walk in in the middle, and there's a shower on each side. They've also removed that window that used to be on the left side of the wall, and framed a 72" wide x 18" height window in the middle of the wall, above my head height (for privacy). They've boarded up the side of the wall for now, because it will take a couple of weeks before the window arrives. Yay for progress!
I almost forgot to tell you guys. This week's Digi Dare is hosted by me! Come join in the fun as we scrap a magazine cover! You can be one of two people who win $50 in GC from our FIVE April sponsors!
My layout for the Dare:
Many more amazing layouts by the other Dare girls at the site! Remember to link us up to your layout at the Dare site by Thursday night at 11:59 PM Eastern US time for an exclusive coupon for Studio Doris, plus a chance to win the $50 GC.
AWESOME shower!! Totally love the idea of the privacy window...hope it will open to let steam out (my mother's second bathroom shower has a window there that doesn't open - and the fan is not hooked up for some reason - so it's like a steam room).
ReplyDeleteThe Easter Grand-bunnies actually hid/hung the eggs for the kids (yay!) so all I had to do is run around and shoot photos (good thing, because Uncle Kent forgot his camera) and then process them inside by the fire...ahhhhh
Yay for framing! I simply cannot wait to see the final product...did they give you a completion date? Did you add a few weeks to that date ;) ?
ReplyDeleteI must say, the frozen dinners don't look as appetizing as Todd's meals. But, just think, soon you will be cooking up a storm in a brand new kitchen!
Love the Dare challenge...you've got me obsessing on what my family's magazine would be..
Can't wait for tomorrow's remodeling progress report...have a great day!
Glad to see your remodel is going well! Love the frozen dinner shot lol.
ReplyDeleteTotally swooning after your walk-in-shower-to-be. That will be sooo nice!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the TV dinners - they're not so bad.
Hehe, I would definately prefer to eat out over microwave food! ;) I get the economic aspect, but it is something with me and the micro. I've never liked it or what comes out of it. For several years I didn't even have one. But with no kitchen at all I guess even my priorities would change! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat idea with the double shower! I'm very curious how it will turn out, waiting eagerly for your finished pics.
Your magazine cover LO is amazing! Love this idea too, and yours turned out fabulous!
Don't these microwave dinners have all the best names and description. Quite different to what they taste like.... great shots.... great project with your house..... TFS
