Getting Closer...
Today we went to Superior Kitchen & Bath in El Cajon to look at the detailed cabinet drawings for the kitchen and master bathroom. A couple of details need to be changed, but overall we're cool with it. Here's Todd with the owner of the company, Tom. Tom is always friendly and we enjoy talking with him. He also has really good out-of-the-box design ideas that we liked.
Todd probably could smile bigger, but we just spent a bunch of money. ::stare::
Here's Todd with Jeremy, who also works at Superior K&B.
We actually met Jeremy at a home improvement show at the Del Mar Fairgrounds in January. He was very nice and personable, and honest, which was why we decided to have them bid for the job.
Besides Superior Kitchen & Bath, we also finalized our appliance choices with Jim at Kiva Kitchen & Bath. Jim's been very helpful in the process. He's very honest and helped us pick out the right appliances for the right price. He didn't just try to sell us the expensive stuff, which we appreciated a lot. And he's a fun guy and coaches little league baseball.
After that, we went to El Cajon Plumbing and Mark helped us pick out our toilets, sinks, shower valves, showerheads, etc. I was a little shocked at how much shower fixtures cost. So even though we're excited about the remodeling starting next week, I am personally a little bummed about spending the money, because I'm the financial person of the household. :(
I've been feeling out of sorts this week. Well, really I guess since Wednesday. I'm still sad about Barbara's passing. Then yesterday I had jury duty, which was totally out of my normal routine, having to take the bus downtown. Then today I had to work to make up for yesterday, plus go to all these places to get our remodeling ready. I'm just so emotional drained and tired. I'm going to try to run eight miles tomorrow, after not really running for two weeks. I'm a little worried about that too. Alas, I am very thankful for all that I have, and even more for all the people in my life, so I will try not to dwell on my worries. :)
I forgot to share these. I caught up with my Project 365 weekly pages last week.
