A Walk At Lunchtime

Sometimes during a work day, the best thing I could do for myself is to take a walk at lunch.  It's great to feel the warmth of the sunshine on my face and breathe in fresh air.  I can stop staring at the computer screen and focus my eyes on prettier things, like the fall foliage, or palm trees.

I found this sight a little funny.  We have some trees in our courtyard at work that actually change colors during the seasons.  Which is kind of a strange sight in San Diego. Then it's juxtaposed against the palm trees in the distance, which are always green.

I walked down the street to Sony Electronic's brand-new North America headquarters building that just opened this month.

I saw them build it for a couple of years. The side facing west has a large patio on the top floor, with tables and seating. On clear days, people on the patio can see the ocean. It is 11 stories high.

Todd got a haircut today! This is his second haircut with a new stylist named Nickie. I think it looks pretty good!

  1. I jealous. I have snow, snow and more snow. I linked you on my blog. Part of it was about your lovely fall photos today and part about your store opening. Oh yeah, and I mentioned Todd's haircut too. :)

Still jealous and waiting patiently for 11/1/09. :)

  2. I'd love to have some trees around here that change color like that, but we have to drive up north to see any.

  4. Love the sight of the coloring leaves against the sunny and clear blue sky! That's the way to display fall colors. Funny that the pictures are taken in a place that doesn't get fall! ;-)

The Sony building is very impressive. Hope they've got as nice offices inside as it looks cool on the outside.
