Tiny Fingers, Tiny Toes

Yesterday we had the privilege of meeting Keiji for the first time. Keiji is the brand-new baby boy of our good friends AJ and Meera. Keiji came fast and furious last Monday (a week ago). Meera started to feel contractions at around midnight. Left for the hospital at 12:40am. Keiji was born at 1:20am after 8 minutes of pushing. Meera and Keiji were famous at the hospital. They got called "The Fast and the Furious"! Heh.

Meera opened the door and I looked at her and said, "You look normal already!" She did! She didn't look like she just had a baby six days ago. In fact, she's wearing her normal jeans already! Her friend Tammy and I joked that her whole pregnancy must have been a ruse, ala the storyline on Glee last season, LOL. In short, Meera just looked radiant and awesome.

We got to play with Andon for a little while before he had to go take his afternoon nap.

Then Meera opened up our gifts for little Keiji.

A picture with Andon before naptime.

Some photos of NuBaby.

I'm still learning how to use my new Canon T2i. The photos were pretty good, but I think it would be better if I actually knew what I was doing. I haven't had time to study up on it yet.

I finished a big project that I will show you the week of October 18th. It's a gift for someone and I can't show it here or else they'll see it. But it took me weeks to get it done and I'm pretty excited about how it turned out! Sorry to be so vague. You'll see. :)

After leaving AJ and Meera's house, we drove a few miles down to try out the new Sonic. I've never had Sonic before, because I've never lived anywhere where there was one. The burger and tater tots were okay. I've had better burgers elsewhere. I still like In N Out Burger, Burger Lounge, and Smashburger better. But the Sonic drinks are something special. I think that and the slushies and milk shakes are the attractions there. Oh and that reminds me... hey Christi! We had Five Guys burgers and cajun fries the day before Todd's triathlon! The burgers were pretty good, but the cajun fries were to die for! Todd absolutely loved them and was powerless to stop eating them. Good thing it wasn't all-you-can-eat, ha ha!

Geez, you'd think I forgot what this post is about and started talkin' about food or something... We're SO happy for AJ and Meera for their new baby Keiji! Congrats!

  1. Congratulations to AJ, Meera and Andon on the new addition to their family. I had no idea Meera was even pregnant when we had dinner at The Dumpling Inn. She looks remarkable in those photos, as does Keiji.
