Weekly Tidbits May 15th

I'm too busy to blog every day, but some weeks I have a lot of good things happening in my life, so I decided that it's okay to put all these good things into one post for the week, besides the standalone other things in my life that I blog about.  Not that these aren't as important... I truly believe it's the small everyday moments in life that counts.

I got to have breakfast with one of my best friends Meera on Wednesday 5/11. We met up at The Original Pancake House in Poway and had breakfast before heading off to work. That's starting out the day right!

I just loved the time we spent together, chatting and catching up. I'm so thankful that we can make the time to have breakfasts and lunches occasionally, despite Meera's very busy schedule of being a full-time mom of two kids and a full-time middle school teacher as well.

On Thursday 5/12, Todd and I decided to try a new place for dinner, Mr. Dumpling. We had read about this place in the AAA magazine, but haven't had a chance to try it out. We love Chinese dumplings so it would be great to find another place we like besides Dumpling Inn.

Green onion pancake and pork potstickers (upside down).

Shrimp and pork dumplings.

Noodles.

We thought the place was... meh. Definitely not as good as Dumpling Inn. Not sure if we'll be back when Dumpling Inn is nearby. But now that we tried it, we know!

Yesterday morning we got to go running at the coast. I love running at the coast, despite our typical "May Gray" weather of cloudiness in May.

The grayness usually burns off by noon and our usual sunny weather comes back. But locals call these two months "May Gray" and "June Gloom" for a reason.

After running we went to Bongiornos for an early lunch, at 10:00 AM, LOL!

What we did forget is that we actually don't like the pizzas right out of the oven for the first time. The crust is slightly soggy and not crispy enough. We like it when we get there around 11 or 12 and they put the slices we want back into the oven and the crust gets nice and crispy. Oh well, it had been so long since we had gone for pizza so early, so we had forgotten. Still pretty good though!

This morning we went to Road Runner Sports, because it was "Girls On The Run" day and our friend Monika was dressed up as the Shoe Dog there for a few hours. Shoe Dog mischief ensued. :p
