Friends + Food at Ortegas

We first heard about Ortegas a few years ago when their salsa was named in San Diego Magazine as the best salsa in San Diego. Being salsa aficionados, we had to give it a try. Yup, super awesome salsa! Last year we found out they also have a happy hour where the two taco meals are only around $5. Great deal! So on Thursday, we went to Ortegas for happy hour with Anne and Gilbert after work. We hadn't seen them in a while, so we were really excited to get together and catch up!

I got steak tacos and they were quite delicious. I really love their guacamole with chips too.






I had a house margarita and drank less than 2/3 of it. I drink infrequently and somehow this margarita really affected me! I don't know why for happy hour they wouldn't water the drinks down a little bit, LOL. It was great to get together with Anne and Gilbert again and catch up on each other's lives a little bit. :)
