2012 Project Life | Week 7

I'm actually a little surprised that we're past week 7 now and I'm still right on track with my 2012 Project Life album.  In 2011 I was always a week or two behind, until we got into September and I was a few weeks behind.  These past two weeks, I've tried to complete my pages faster so that they didn't practically take up my whole weekend.  I find that I'm much happier with this project if it does not consume all my free time, LOL.

This week, I used a bunch of tiny tags that I die-cut with Papertrey Ink's Tiny Tags die and my Sizzix Big Shot.

Left-side.  We went running at the coast on Saturday.  It was my longest run since my half marathon in 2010.  I ran 6.15 miles.  Then we drove up to LA to bring flowers to my mom's resting place.  On Sunday Todd and I went to eat some sushi after his long bike ride.  Afterwards we went to get some Hawaii shave ice and shared one.

I cut out the "7" with my Silhouette and adhered it to the paper with some pink striped washi tape.  The round tag with the heart cut out was a die cut using the Tiny Tags die from Papertrey Ink, ran through my Sizzix Big Shot.  Then I tied a red & white striped Martha Stewart twine on top.  The {WEEK} letters are Rockabye white foam alpha Thickers from American Crafts.  Before I put those on, I painted the paper with Jenni Bowlin Paint Dabber in Cough Syrup.

The photo of Todd stretching after the run was taken with the Hipstamatic app on my iPod Touch.  I journaled on it in Photoshop and then printed it out.  I used my own DIY washi tape to tape the photo onto the Project Life Clementine Core Kit journal card.  The journal card "Rose Hill" to the right of that has some of my DIY washi tape on it too.  I just cut them with some shaped scissors and stuck them onto a Project Life 3x4 Grid Journal Card

I've had this label maker for over 3 years now.  It connects to your PC and you can use whatever font you want to print your labels!  It just occurred to me this week to use it for Project Life, LOL.  So the "Nozomi" in on the left photo and "Wahini Kai Shave Ice" on the right photo are from my label maker.

Another die cut Tiny Tag that I stapled onto the photo.

Right-side page.  This was all about Valentine's Day, plus our actual date on Thursday to celebrate it.  I journaled on the photos and printed them out.  I created the 4x6 photo collage of the food in Lightroom

Used yet another die-cut Tiny Tag on the photo here.

The red-striped journal card and the gray polka-dot bordered journal card are both from the Project Life Clementine Core kit.  I typed up the journaling in Photoshop and printed them out onto the journal cards.  I did a video tutorial on how to do this on my blog previously.  The "Today is my favorite" journal card I made myself, using "Love You Sentiment Stacks" digital brushes by Ali Edwards.  The "We're All In This Together" word art is a free download here.  I cropped it in Photoshop to the 3x4 size and printed it out.

Week 7 of Project Life, done!  :)  Still really enjoying this weekly ritual, especially now that I don't spend a whole day doing it!

  1. When I was looking at my pockets like that, I did not think I would like the journaling all across the middle, but I really do like what you have done here! I'll have to remember that.

  3. Cassi - it's Becky Higgins Design A page protector. It's my default page protector unless I actively want to use a different one. I love Design A the most because it makes the most sense to me.
