In January…

  • I ran 41 miles (on my way towards my goal of 366 miles in 2012)
  • I spent 15 hours and 58 minutes exercising
  • We cooked 18 meals at home
  • I lost zero pounds.
  • Todd ran 32.5 miles (wow, a category I actually beat him in!)
  • Todd biked 271 miles
  • Todd swam 10.33 miles
  • We took 506 photos
  • I read two books:  “The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks” by Rebecca Skloot, and “The Hunger Games” by Suzanne Collins.
  • I started listening to a different CD each day in my car.
  • Movies watched:  You Again, Easy A, My Best Friend’s Wedding.
  • I journaled online daily at Oh Life 31 times.
  • I journaled in my Moleskine daily planner 31 times.
  • I finally finished the 2012 budget ($100 million) at work (after working on it for months) and officially submitted it.
  • I stuck to my exercise plan.
  • I started tracking calories at Daily Plate.
  • I finished four weeks of Project Life in my album.
  • I created two video tutorials.  One for printing and cutting digital elements with the Silhouette.  One for printing journaling onto 3x4 Project Life journal cards.
  • We watched the Sugar Bowl at Anne and Gilbert’s house and had their awesome chili for dinner.  (But VA Tech lost.)
  • We went to Phil’s BBQ with Dejah and Roby.
  • We visited AJ and Meera and had cookies and tea.
  • Sally came over for dinner.  I took some maternity photos of her and we showed her our Hawaii vacation photos.
  • I had breakfast with my best friend Meera.
  • I celebrated Chinese New Year by having lunch at Pearl with some work friends.
  • We went to Smashburger with Pete and Cass and gave them their baby gifts.
  • I ran over 5 miles for the first time since August 28, 2010.
  • We snuggled with Noodle a lot.
  • I found my new favorite sneakers for walking around, the New Balance 501.  So comfortable and love the retro look.
  • We went to Wahini Kai for Hawaii shave ice THREE times.
  • We went to Safari Park and saw lots of giraffes, birds, rhinos, gorillas, meerkats, and also the cheetah run.
  • We went to Broadway San Diego at the Civic Theater to see “Cats”.
  • We watched the Buckeyes lose in the Gator Bowl.
  • I talked to my dad three times on the phone.
  • I backed up my whole computer to my 2TB external HD twice.
  • We survived the strong Santa Ana winds and the associated allergies.
January was a good month.  Bring on February!  :D

  2. Looooove the photo collage! I hope to make it next month! ;o) I'm going to the Rock again so we will have to schedule a quarterly rock date!

    BTW I'm astounded by your budget!! Our marketing budget is an atom in comparison! well, our revenue is too prob.
