I spent the whole weekend re-organizing my craft studio, so I didn't have time to catch up on Project Life Week 23 or 24. I had the photos printed though, and last night I spent about 2 hours finishing up Week 23. I loved how easy my new workflow is with my supplies organized. I'm in the process of developing my blog post for my craft studio re-organization. :)
For Project Life this week there was confetti vellum pocket sewing...
Stamping with some new stamps and inks...
And a couple of month-in-review collages (I hadn’t done April’s yet, so I did them at the same time.)
Week 23
Left side - We visited my good friend Sally and her new baby twins. Lots of random Instagram photos.
Week 23 title slot. Just some stamping, cutting, punching, Thickers numbers, Tiny Type alphas, and washi tape.
I journaled about the random collage of Instagram photos below. I picked out too many photos for this week so my solution was just putting some of those Instagram photos onto a 4x6 collage. I don't mind that none of the photos have anything to do with each other. I like that they're different snippets of life.
I had an extra 3x4 pocket so I put my sewn confetti pocket in there. I really like how that looks. :)
Me and Sal. I stamped the frame and "hello friend" on white cardstock, then I punched it out with a scalloped square punch and adhered it right onto the photo.
Right side - Todd made blueberry cupcakes; Todd had lunch with some of the ladies at his work who had babies; Noodle sleeping on his perch; and Todd and his coworkers went on a coffee run.
Used a 4x6 tag from Elle's Studio.
A stamped grid journal card, along with washi tape and a veneer star. The bird + life is good stamp is from the $1 bin at Michaels. The right journal card is from a SMASH pad.
My cute cat Noodle. I stamped the "hello" speech bubble and cut it out and adhered it to the photo.
The left journal card is from Elle's Studio again. The journal card on the right is a grid card stamped and colored in. Stamp from $1 bin at Michaels again.
And since it was the end of the month, I created my 8.5x11 Month-In-Review collage and bullet list write up. They are based on my Month In Review blog posts. Here's the front of the collage in the 8.5x11 page protector.
And here's the back. More collage photos and bullet-list journaling.
That's it for my Week 23! It took me about three hours from picking out photos and finishing up. How are you doing on your Project Life journey?
Project Life | Week 23 Supplies:
As usual your week looks really good and busy.
ReplyDeleteI'm taking about 2 hours a week on my PL, thanks to you I've pre-made some journaling cards.
I've been alittle more relaxed about completing the weeks and sometimes just wing it and do 1/2 page for one event bc of some many pix. I mostly use 4x6 pics too bc I'm lazy about using Photoshop!
Now, I'll borrow you're confetti pocket - LOVE!!!!
Julie
My card didn't make the blog? :o( sniff sniff
ReplyDeleteI love the card and UNO btw!!! I told david we're playing when he gets here. :)
Wow what an action packed week! We are headi into epic fail territory with PL. I have about three weeks waiting for my hubby to add captions to photos he has included from work trips and it has stolen my mojo. I have enjoyed working on some full sized layouts in the meantime though. My goal is to complete two weeks this week and go from there.
ReplyDeleteI love all of the stamping. And the confetti pocket is soooo cute. Love it. I really need to work on PL. I have one week complete. I've been really good about keeping up with my photos & such with Momento & I actually have most weeks printed! Oh & I've done a terrific job of buying things I NEED for completing awesome pages! LOL!
ReplyDeleteAMAzing your project life! Really have to get stuck into my PL.
ReplyDeleteThis is an amazing take on project life! Love your confetti pockets!
ReplyDeleteI love reading about your life through Project Life. It is so fun and cheerful.
ReplyDeleteI need to hire you to make some templates for me. :) Are you going to get back in the business again?
I do love the crafty things! Thank you. And what do you think about those Prima chalk inks? I haven't tried them.
ReplyDeleteI've just been having a good browse through your PL pages - lots of beautiful pictures and ideas! Thank you for sharing!

I LOVE your 8.5x11 Month-In-Review collage and bullet list write up! It's all over pinterest, as you probably know, however most of the pins incorrectly link to myscrapbookart.com! Anyway, it'd be wonderful if you would consider doing a tutorial or offering a template. I'm still struggling with photoshop and a tutorial would be really helpful!
ReplyDeleteThanks, and keep up the great work!
