On Sunday 6/3 we planned a “Game of Thrones” season finale evening of good food and good tv-watching. Originally we were supposed to get together with our GoT buddies Dejah and Roby and watch it together, but something came up for them and they couldn’t come. Todd had planned to make blueberry cupcakes with cream cheese frosting. I thought that wasn’t going to happen anymore when Dejah and Roby cancelled. I was wrong.
I can’t think of anything more beautiful than my husband making cupcakes. :D
They came out of the oven perfect.
Then they got frosted with homemade cream cheese frosting and became even more perfect.
Then we had one of my favorite new dishes we tried from America’s Test Kitchen, the Spring Vegetable Pasta.
Along with some appropriately named wine.
And it was perfection.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll keep saying it over and over again. I’m one lucky girl.
Yum!!! Sounds like a lovely evening!!!
ReplyDeleteThat's one great guy you have there.
ReplyDeleteThat's so fun!!! Go Todd!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd Game of Thrones - oh my!!! Loving that show!!!! I'm mid-season 2 right now... It's my treadmill watch...
I miss Todd's baking at work. :) We'll have to do dinner soon so Dan can recap on GoT. He doesn't have anyone to talk about it with. .
ReplyDeleteYes indeed, we women love a man who can cook. The pasta dish looks really, really yummy.
ReplyDeleteOoooh, everything looks sooooo tasty! Is Todd good at cleaning up after he's cooked / baked? My DH is terrible ... he uses every utensil in the kitchen & somehow always manages to get food splatters on the walls / floors (& even the ceiling!)
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great evening with some yummy food. Todd seems like a great guy!
