I went to CHA as press for Write.Click.Scrapbook. I was there to report on trends, colors, new products, and the general feel of the show. I will be doing that via Twitter in the next couple of days. So follow Write.Click.Scrapbook. on Twitter if you would like to see photos of products.
The people I hung out with the most were my friends at Daily Digi, The Digi Show, and The Lilypad. When I arrived on Friday night, I met up with them at PF Chang’s for dinner. It was so fantastic to meet everyone!
Heather Hess, Amy Martin, Liz Tamanaha, Jacque Larsen, Karah Fredricks, Katie Nelson, Sara Gleason, Rachelle Ludwinski.
I met Katrina Kennedy of Capture Your 365.
I went to bed all excited. I finally got to meet a bunch of friends that I’ve only known online! (Except for Peppermint and Liz, I’ve never met anyone else in person.)
The next morning, we were invited to the Daily Digi/ Digi Show breakfast at Steakhouse 55 inside the Disneyland Hotel!
Steph from Daily Digi hosted 3 tables. She made name cards so we knew where we were sitting.
We got customized soda bottles too!
Katie Nelson taking a photo of our table.
Katrina Kennedy, Kami Leonard (owner of Scrap Orchard), Peppermint (One Little Bird), Liz (Paislee Press), Amy Martin, Jacque Larsen (can’t see her!) and Laura McCandless (co-owner of The Lilypad).
Peppermint and Liz. These girls are so photogenic!
Amy Martin and I.
Kami, Peppermint, and Liz. The blonde woman standing behind Peppermint is Ali Edwards. She and Becky Higgins and their assistants were all at the breakfast as well, but at a different table.
Wes (Heather’s husband), Heather, Chelle, Jenn, Karah, and Sara at the other table.
Breakfast was super-fun! I took this photo of what I THOUGHT was my omelette. Until Peppermint took a few bites of hers and there were tomatoes in it. Apparently she had mine and I had hers, so we had to switch. So this was Peppermint’s omelette.
Karah and Jacque after breakfast, ha ha!
Absolutely loved hanging out with Sara Gleason. Love her to pieces.
Wes took a group photo of all of us!
We had so much fun together at CHA. Laura and Sara pose at the SMASH booth.
Debra photobombing Ali Edwards at the Technique Tuesday booth.
Sara, Laura, and I got a photo and chatted with Ali Edwards.
Then that night, there was a Digi Show listener meetup at Downtown Disney.
After that, The Lilypad gang had dinner at Tortilla Jo’s.
This was Peppermint’s dinner.
Sara, Amy, and I shared an appetizer plate. (This was dinner #2. We had gone to Red Robin about 4 hours earlier.)
Peppermint doing the Todd Shot.
We were serenaded by an all-women mariachi band!
The next day, right before saying goodbye, we took more photos. Amy and Liz.
Liz and Laura.
Amy & Sara.
Liz & Sara.
Liz and me. She made me do the universal Asian photographic pose. Sigh! :)
Oh, and we had some photobooth fun at Me And My Big Ideas booth inside CHA!
I miss these girls already. When you meet online friends, you never know if how they are in person is what you expected from your online interactions. These women were more fantastic than I had ever expected! As Sara Gleason said on Instagram… now we are #reallifefriends. I love that!
