{Photo collage made in Lightroom 4. Then I used Rad Lab’s “Troy” filter over the whole thing. Brought it into Photoshop and added the month and year with Pacifico font and ran Sahlin Studio’s glitter style over the font.}
Oh December, you came in like a lamb and roared out like a lion. What a busy but blessed month you were!
- Between traveling and getting sick with a sinus infection, I only ran 5 miles. Pretty pathetic! But I did end up running 385 miles in 2012, surpassing my goal of 366 miles (avg of a mile per day).
- I also walked 101 miles in 2012.
- I only spent a total of 3 hours and 6 min exercising in December. That and holiday eating made my waistline bigger. :(
- We took 824 photos. That is the 3rd highest photo month, after June and May.
- I made handmade holiday cards.
- I made DIY Elf Party t-shirts for our party guests.
- We had our 3rd Annual Elf Party.
- I blogged twice at One Little Bird. Once with printable tape, and once with printable gift tags. I told her I’m her printable/hybrid slave. She agreed to pay me with food.
- Todd cooked chicken tacos for his once-a-month homemade group lunch extravaganza at work.
- I went to a work holiday lunch on Coronado Island. I took the ferry for the first time.
- We went to Todd’s work holiday party at Anthology and it was awesome and fantastic!
- I blogged at Write.Click.Scrapbook. about making easy holiday paper ornaments.
- We went to Texas to visit my sister’s family for an early Christmas celebration.
- I was on The Digi Show, Episode #67: Quick and Dirty. We talked about quick and dirty hacks and tricks for everything from photo editing to using a Silhouette machine.
- I made a DIY shaped bokeh kit to take cute holiday shaped bokeh light photos. I blogged the process and photos at The Lilypad.
- I received some wood chips from Freckled Fawn, courtesy of my friend Lili Niclass, who designed the product! (She also designed the Clementine Edition and Baby Editions of Project Life!) I ♥ them and can’t want to use them in my layouts and Project Life.
- We drank a lot of hot chocolates. A lot.
- Todd installed Windows 8 on my laptop. He also installed a hybrid SSD drive in it, so now it’s fast and furious! :)
- We met up with my childhood friend Minnie’s family when they came to visit San Diego for the holidays.
- I gave Todd some Bowflex weights for Christmas. He gave me a Kindle Paperwhite.
- On Christmas, we made ebelskivers for breakfast, went to China Max for lunch, and had our annual Christmas At The Beach. We also got to Facetime with Sally and Joyce.
- We got to go to Donovan’s for dinner, with a gift certificate.
- Todd made meatball in spaghetti sauce in the crockpot and it was divine!
- We got to hang out with AJ & Meera and the kids. We ate pulled chicken sandwiches and ice cream, opened gifts, and walked around the neighborhood to see fantastic light displays coordinated with music. Love spending time with our good friends!
- Todd went to the San Diego Auto Show with Roby. They ate lunch at Point Loma Seafoods and had fun at the show.
- I received my first box of Evalicious DT goodies. I can’t wait to get creating and show you how great the new products are!
- As with tradition, we stayed home for New Year’s Eve and cooked some favorite foods: Bucatini with Mushrooms, Crispy Oven Fries, and a homemade version of Mr. Hero’s Romanburger, Todd’s childhood favorite from Akron, Ohio. For dessert, we made brown butter oatmeal chunk cookies.
