The August gallery at Write.Click.Scrapbook. is live! This month’s theme is “Go-To Design” and there are so many awesome layouts to look at!
Being a left-brain person, I always love to look at scrapbook pages made with a grid design. I love making them too! My layout this month has photos from our December 2011 trip to Oahu, Hawaii.

12 x 12 | materials cardstock (Bazzill) + patterned paper (Pebbles, American Crafts, Bella Blvd, Hambly) + twine (Martha Stewart) + glitter pen (Sharpie, Elmers) + pens (Sharpie) + stickers (American Crafts, Martha Stewart Avery, Studio Calico, Simple Stories, My Mind's Eye) + letter stickers (American Crafts) + stamps (Elle's Studio, Recollections) + tags (Elle's Studio, Plaid Barn) + ink (Memento) + sequins (Kelly Purkey) + wood veneers (Studio Calico) + paper clip (Freckled Fawn + adhesives (Scotch, Glue Dots)
I love grid layouts because you can have many grid layouts and they can all look quite different. I love the uniformity provided by the grid.
For this layout, I worked on each section at a time. Only after each section was done, did I adhere each 3x4 section down onto my 12x12 paper.
You can see the entire Write. Click. Scrapbook. August gallery here, and the intro post here.
LIKE! Love the cute elements you selected for this grid style (which I like a lot - my brain must work like that too). And Waikiki is one of my all time favorite places.

ReplyDeleteI love this page! I had to take this as inspiration! You can check out my version of your page here: polkadotpirates.ca Thanks so much for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI love grids, too! I think it's great how you can treat each little section on its own. I should make more grid pages! (well, I really would like to just scrapbook more in general, haha!)
