Happy Halloween from Velma & Fred! We’re off solving mysteries with Mystery Inc.
I carved the Scooby pumpkin last night from this template that I printed from the internet.
And here’s what it looked like tonight.
And we had lots of roasted pumpkin seeds last night. Yum!
All the kids that came to our door tonight to trick-or-treat recognized us. Some of their little faces lit up when we answered the door. That was super-cute and fun!
The best thing about our costumes? All thrift store finds! They are real clothes, not costumes bought from stores/internet. I couldn’t find orange knee socks, so I bought white ones and dyed them with Rit dye.
And guess what? Now I have Halloween photos to scrap! Bonus!
omg such a cute couple costume! and cool pumpkin :D
ReplyDeleteYou guys look super cute. Unfortunately most kids probably thought you were just wearing odd clothes or..... maybe not.
ReplyDeleteActually all the kids recognized us. It was cute.
DeleteVery cute! These came out great. We haven't done costumes for the past few years because the last time we did it turned into a huge hassle to find/make everything.
ReplyDeleteLove your costumes, Christine ... so funky & FUN!!!! Happy [belated] Halloween!
ReplyDeleteLove your costumes, what a great idea!!
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love the costumes! I burnt my pumpkin seeds... Boo!
ReplyDeleteOh those costumes are awesome Christine! You 2 look so stinkin cute!
ReplyDeleteFantastic costumes!! I have to ask- did you go to the thrift store with your costume in mind and find such perfect pieces, or did you go to the thrift store and get inspired with your costume idea by what you found? I'm really bad at thrift shopping but I really wish I was better!
ReplyDeleteYour costumes really are awesome!

Hi Natalie! We went to the thrift store to find the Scooby Doo outfits, specifically! We had to go to several different ones over several weeks to get it all. Our search was very targeted, lol.
DeleteLove the costumes! And if you're on the market for orange compression socks.. here are some halloween ones! http://www.procompression.com/marathon-halloween/
