Today I’m sharing how I store my stamp sets. I know a lot of people love their Avery Elle stamp storage pockets and use those. I may eventually go that route. But for now, I am happy to store my stamp sets in 5x8 Clear Bags zip seal bags.
They are really reasonable in price ($6.99 for 100) and most of my stamp sets fit in them, with the cardstock backing that came with it. The zip seal on top makes the stamps much easier to get out than the sticky seal that most stamps come with. The bags are clear so I can see what I have. I sort my stamps by category (Project Life, Labels, Alphabets, Greetings, etc.) and then I put them into a clear bin (see first photo). I have two clear bins that I put into the cubbies of my DIY Craft Island. When I want to use stamps I take the bins out and flip through them on my table.
A note about organization: I believe that each person’s organization scheme is very personal to the way they work. What works for someone else may not work for you. I encourage you to really think about what your current crafting/scrapbooking process is before you go do a major re-organization. How do you use your supplies and what do you look for when you need something? Also, I firmly believe that organizing for the sake of organizing is not fun and just a form of procrastination. I would much rather be creating and using my supplies than organizing and re-organizing them. It’s a means to an end for me. Being organized is not the goal for me. Being able to find my supplies so I can scrapbook and craft easily is my goal.
Great tip to use the zipper bags. I hadn't seen those yet. Pinning so I can have the link later.
