2014 Project Life | March Part 1

20140410-IMG_3054_CLN

I had these five pages of March Project Life done, but I was dreading blogging it.  Blogging Project Life pages is such a process!  First I have to find the time before work or after work, while it’s still good lighting, to photograph the pages.  Then I have to process the photos in Lightroom.  When I was on creative/design teams before, blogging my projects was part of the deal of being on those teams, so I did it.  Now that I’m just sharing for the sake of sharing, it felt like a chore.  Then it hit me that I don’t’ have to list and link all my supplies anymore.  I’m doing these pages for myself, not for a manufacturer or team, so there’s no need to spend hours writing down my supply list and then finding links for them.

So I’m not going to do that anymore.  :-)  If you have any questions about any specific supplies I used, please leave a comment in this post and I will gladly answer you in the comment section.  This will save me hours of time and make blogging Project Life not dreadful.

March page 1:  the left side is from the end of February, when we celebrated our good performance reviews at work with a dinner out.  So March started on the right side.

Cute photo of Noodle snuggling on Todd’s lap while Todd played video games.

A March calendar to signify the start of March in the album.

Photos and journaling from our dinner out at Rosina’s.

March page 2:  Chinese comfort food at Liang’s Kitchen; Todd’s hilly bike ride with his riding buddies; dinner at Best Pizza & Brew (new to us); an everyday snapshot of us in the kitchen; Todd & Andy at Fred’s retirement party.

Inspired by my photo of the red bowl of wonton soup, I used a background with circles and used circle embellishments.

Some stamping using my new Color Theory inks from Studio Calico.

Decorated a filler card with wood veneer stars, cork camera, and enamel dot.

More stamping, letter stickers, and journaling.

March page 3:  the front of a Design G birthday insert.  This was all about our combined birthday dinner with friends.

I embellished some journal cards from Elle’s Studio, and wrote some journaling.

A tab I made for the birthday insert using patterned paper, stamp, WRMK tab punch, and their clear tab label sticker to stick it to the page protector.

Stuck on an Elle’s Studio “celebrate” wood veneer onto the page protector, outside of the photo.

March page 4:  the back of the birthday insert.  This one was all about my actual birthday and going out to dinner with Todd at Ortegas.

Took photos of each other at dinner.  Love how the pink background paper and the pink and navy embellishments compliment the colors of our photos!

My birthday margarita, or dinners, and our shared dessert.  Yum!

Stamping, labels, sequins, heart chipboard sticker, and journaling completes the page.

March page 5:  back to Design A page protector.  Some things that make me happy, such as being in my craft room and making stuff, my new Studio Calico inks, my March Ipsy Glam Bag, and birthday lunches with my friends Meera and Patsy.

Lots of pink and navy again.  Love this combo!  I stamped labels and adhered them onto the background paper.

My messy craft desk while making Project Life pages.

20140410-IMG_3057_CLN

Used a clear journal card and adhered a watercolored embellishment and a cork sticker in the middle.  All from the March Studio Calico Project Life kit “Office Hours”.

Lunch with Meera.  Whenever she makes it into my Project Life album, it’s a good thing.  Love spending time with my good friend!

Lunch with Patsy.  I stapled the photo onto the background, so that I can stick the receipt from our lunch behind it, like a pocket.  Some punched out stars and enamel dots to decorate the page.

That’s it for March Part 1 of Project Life!  I’ve got 4-5 more page protectors full of March photos but haven’t added the journal cards and embellishments yet.  That will be part 2 next time!

Let me know in the comments if you have any questions. :-)
