Since we were on a road trip for a week in July, I didn’t get a chance to play with my June Project Life pages until towards the end of July. I think I can get the rest of my pages done this weekend though, since I’m only got 3 more pages to go. The first page from June that I shared was a special anniversary insert. Here are a few more pages.
June page 1: lots of everyday life type of stuff.
I used mostly items from the Studio Calico June Project Life kit Hello Hello. The “It’s A Cat Thing” is a journal card from the Simple Stories 3x4 Cat journal card pack. It’s super-cute!
Details:
June title pocket.
I had lunch with my good friend Meera. Such a treat! I stamped the Ali Edwards stamp three times on that journal card in different colors.
More stamping on that camera graphic on the right. “Hello today”.
One thing I did want to note is that I had to take everything out of the pockets and put them into a new Design F page protector, because the pocket on the end ripped. :(
This is the 7th Becky Higgins page protector that has ripped on me this year! I have to say, I’m not too impressed with the quality of these page protectors. They really should have put a seam on the right end so that the pockets don’t rip like this. What I usually do is just cut off the entire right column and then use what’s left of the protector as potential inserts for when I have special occasions. I haven’t said anything about it this year, but now that seven of my protectors have ripped, I’m starting to feel like this is a manufacturing or design defect! :(
June page 2: I went to jury duty, Todd watching the NBA Finals, Todd finishing another puzzle, I started doing the 30 Day Shred dvd workouts again, and going to see X-Men Days of Future Past movie.
I used journal cards I designed myself, Studio Calico, PL Kiwi Edition, and a Silhouette cut.
Details:
June page 3: going to Salt & Cleaver for dinner, running at the beach and having breakfast afterwards, Noodle looking like Batman, workout out with weights, summer love.
I used 4x6 photo templates by my friend Lili Niclass again. I just LOVE these! Other supplies are mostly Studio Calico, with some diecuts & veneer from Elle’s Studio.
Details:
June page 4: another special page dedicated to our anniversary dinner #2 at Amaya. I included the 6x8 menu by cutting it in half and putting them into two pockets in Design C page protector.
Used mostly the Market Street Ashbury Heights collection from My Mind’s Eye.
Something cool I did for this page was including a QR code in a vellum pocket. When I scan the QR code with my phone, it opens up my blog post about this dinner so I can read more about it!
If you don’t know how to do this, here’s a tutorial from Paislee Press.
Details:
This is probably my favorite paper from the Market Street Ashbury Heights collection. The pink glitter thickers are American Crafts.
Thanks for stopping by! I really love & appreciate the interaction here on my blog and on Instagram regarding Project Life and my pages. Thanks so much! :)
Thanks for sharing, I love your pages! I've been wanting the kiwi edition but I can't seem to find it anywhere besides BH online store for $30. + shipping which is just too much! My Joann's doesn't seem to carry project life at all, and they don't have it on their website. Any ideas?
ReplyDeleteHmm, even two weeks ago the Kiwi Edition was online at Joann.com. You could purchase the digital edition? You could also find partial kits on eBay for like $10-$15. I have a partial physical kit and I bought the digital edition. I use the digital editions quite a bit, because to me they print out even better than the physical edition!
DeleteLove your pages! Didn't know about the cat cards. They're a must have!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Patty!
DeleteWow I love your pages and they are always an inspiration for me! Thanks for sharing the pages and your life. You're great!
