I’m the October guest designer at Citrus Twist Kits and today is a “Sunday Sketch” on their blog. Here’s the sketch they provided me.
Here’s the layout I created using the sketch and their October main scrapbook kit “Creative Space”. My layout is about our vacation to Maui in December 2013 and how we bicycled down the volcano Haleakala.
When a piece of patterned paper has word art in a corner, I love to incorporate that into the overall design of my layout. Biking down a volcano seemed appropriate for the adventure theme!
I typed out journaling in Photoshop, then printed it out on white cardstock and cut them into strips. Then I adhered them to the page.
I cut out part of the title, the word "bicycling", with my Silhouette digital cutter using white cardstock.
I layered embellishments and diecuts around my photo, propping some up with foam adhesive to create more dimension.
I have one more layout for Citrus Twist Kits to show you later this week, along with a tutorial. Thanks for stopping by!
I love your layou, especially how you incorporated the word art that was on your background paper.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Kym!
DeleteLove this layout! Used the sketch last night for a layout. Can't wait to see what else you create for CT!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful!
ReplyDeletebeautiful layout and what a daring adventure that was indeed, I live under a volcano, not sure I would want to bike ride it, actually it is impossible, though I have walked up the side of it LOL.
ReplyDeleteYou were great to incorporate the wording, I tend to cover that up on paper.
Isn't that a fun ride? I'm glad to see they give you bike helmets now, when we did it we were helmet-less!
ReplyDeleteReally great layering on this layout. I wish I could layer without it looking messy!
What a fun thing to experience!! Love the MME background paper, & all the fun accents!! Great job!!
ReplyDeleteLove the fun layers & how you incorporated the text on the paper. That's always hard for me to do.
